Kayak/Canoe Fishing Trips

fishing/scenic paddling trip

Fish n Float Adventures specializes in kayak fishing trips. You can't beat fishing from our kayaks! We use non-confining, sit-in or sit-on-top kayaks, custom rigged to be fishing machines. Kayak fishing is a quiet, peaceful experience, without the sounds of motors where we can sneak up on fish and reach the spots other anglers can't get to.

Each trip is catered to your interests and skill levels. Trips can include a mixture of kayak trolling, deep water jigging, wind drifting, running rapids, and leisurely paddling and exploring.

Piney Run Reservoir: Located in Carroll County, MD, Piney Run Reservoir is not only one of the hottest lakes in Maryland for big bass, stripers and catfish, but is also an excellent yellow perch, bluegill, rainbow trout, crappie and musky fishery. Piney Run is a beautiful setting for some great kayak/canoe fishing.

Rocky Gorge and Triadelphia Reservoirs are consistent producers of large fish. The reservoirs are open from early March to mid-December, depending on water levels. We generally target crappie and bass through the spring and summer, and reserve mid-November to mid-December for kayak trolling for stripers.
